National Recoveries was incorporated in 1991. Our first client was St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN, a small religious college that was experiencing rapid growth. From there, we expanded based on our commitment to superior customer service and innovative debt resolution programs.

Not only are we experienced, but we are accessible. We pick up the phone. We respond to your needs. When you work with us, you don’t work with client service representatives. Our leadership team will address your needs immediately.

We provide clear and concise monthly reports to our client, and guarantee deliver of these reports on the 10th day of each month. Additionally, online reports are available by the 3rd day of the month of aspiring green campuses.

PERFORMANCE


We fully understand business officers and collections managers work in fast-paced environments. We measure performance by providing a comprehensive solution. Our automated process makes the placement of student accounts and loans convenient. We continually review and improve new technologies to make them perform for you.

 

National Recoveries maintains a secure, robust and dynamic network database system (collection platform). The system is designed, independently audited and quarterly scanned to comply with all NIST 800-53 Revision 3 controls, which is the same network database requirement for all federal government agencies.

Example controls include:

  • Quarterly system intrusion and penetration testing
  • Media protection policies
  • Access control policies including remote users
  • Disaster recovery, contingency planning and business continuity plans
  • Data encryption (transmission, process and at-rest) policies and procedures
  • Annual security awareness training requirement

There are approximately 400 additional controls incorporated into our System Security Plan allowing National Recoveries to withstand today's and tomorrow's system vulnerabilities and attacks.

In addition to protecting your data, we make sure it is accurate and available to you when you need it. National Recoveries offers 24/7 online secure remote and web access for all clients. Our innovative skip tracing system locates accurate primary addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers and vital records.


COMPLIANCE


Our compliance and licensing procedures are constantly exceeding the requirements of our education partners. Our clients have come to rely on us for superior compliance standards that are well beyond industry standards.

We strive to ensure 100% compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, FTC Red Flag Rules, Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003, Federal Information Security Management Act, and PCI Data Security Standard.
